I am extremely pleased to announce that we are back on the road.  It has been a tough couple of years for everyone, but theatre is extremely important to everyone, not just for entertainment but from the perspective of our shows, education, growth of character and confidence and much more.  We are taking precautions to safeguard both our actors and audience with Covid measures which schools can request when booking.

Our Shows

Kenneth Grahame’s tales of the River Bank, the Open Road and The Wild Wood are all here in this vibrant musical production. We follow the lives of the loyal friends Mole, Ratty and Badger in their attempts to help the exuberant Mr Toad become a better creature. Only when Toad is threatened with the loss of Toad Hall does he realise the importance of their friendship.

Oscar Wilde’s short story ‘The Selfish Giant’ is a beautiful and moving tale. By sharing the experience of the giant’s selfishness, a moment of realisation and finally his redemption, children and adults alike are reminded of the value of generosity.

Over the past 32 year, Image Musical Theatre have produced a phenomenal back catalogue of shows.  View our previous clips, Images and sound bites to relive the magic that is Image Musical Theatre

The History of Image

Image Theatre Company was set up in the spring of 1988 by Brian Thresh to provide theatre venues and schools in the West London boroughs and neighbouring counties with high quality touring productions.  The production emphasis is on the adaptation of popular stories, the classics, and the great plays of the English language. In 1993 Robert Hyman joined the company as composer / lyricist and as the relationship between director and composer developed it became evident that a change of company title was appropriate and Image Musical Theatre was incorporated in 1995.  To date, Image Musical Theatre has written and produced eighteen new family participation musicals.

In the spring of 2003 and 2004 respectively, Ian McCracken and Susan McKenna joined the company as actors.  They both returned, working together for the first time, in 2005 for the autumn tour of Pinocchio.  Since then their affiliation with Image has grown and they have been involved in various aspects of the company, including administration, directing and production managing.  Now husband and wife, they were both delighted to take over the running of the company and on 1st September 2013 Ian became the new Artistic Director.
