THE SECRET GARDEN
Frances Hodgson Burnett
ON TOUR END MARCH 2008 – LATE JULY 2008

This magical story of hidden places, personal secrets, revelation and transformation is one of the finest children's stories ever written. Finding herself alone and unwanted in a bleak Yorkshire manor house Mary’s unhappiness is fundamentally changed by the simple joy of two moorland children. In turn, when she shares the secret of her hidden garden, the entire household is brought back to life and the sad ghosts of the past are laid to rest.

During the light hearted half hour rehearsal some children are chosen and rehearsed into their parts while the rest of the audience is taught four chorus songs. With the children costumed in the interval the show, lasting 1 hour, runs seamlessly with everyone taking part as rehearsed.

THE SELFISH GIANT
Oscar Wilde
ON TOUR MID SEPTEMBER 2008 – LATE DECEMBER 2008

Oscar Wilde's short story 'The Selfish Giant' is one of the most beautiful and moving tales ever written.  It is an everlasting story that connects to people of all cultures.  By sharing the experience of the giant's selfishness, then a moment of realisation and finally his redemption, children and adults alike are reminded of the value of generosity.

The show requires the participation of a dozen children who play the villagers and the giant's wall while the whole audience takes part as chorus singers.

With beautiful period costumes, an ingenious set and wonderful music from Robert Hyman this production will continue Image Musical Theatre's tradition of providing the best touring productions for Theatres and Primary Schools.

ON TOUR MID MARCH TO END JULY 2009

From the moment that ‘Father’ is taken away, the children and their mother are forced to fall back on their own resources.  They have to leave their London home and move to a small house in the north country.  There the children fall in love with the railway and make friends with all those who work on it.   Many adventures follow but still the mystery remains - where is ‘Father’ and will he ever return?

During the light hearted half hour rehearsal some children are chosen and rehearsed into their parts while the rest of the audience is taught the choruses of four songs.  During the interval the actors and children are costumed and the show, lasting 1 hour, runs seamlessly with everyone taking part as rehearsed.
