THEATRE PRODUCTIONS
THE FULL LENGTH MUSICALS

Although initially produced for the national touring circuit of mid scale theatres (300 - 700 seats) around England and Wales, these productions are specifically written with a larger cast, bigger set and live orchestra in mind. Both Brian Thresh and Robert Hyman have considerable experience in writing and producing for long runs in larger theatres.

The touring productions have a cast of five, a simple but effective set, with the music pre-recorded onto minidisc. The company stage manager balances radio mikes and pre-recorded music throughout the running of the performance.

VANITY FAIR

2hour 10mins

'Vanity Fair' is crammed full of wonderful larger than life characters who all compete with each other to survive in the hurly-burly of the early 19th century. Through the story sails one of literature's most resourceful, engaging and amoral characters - Becky Sharp, and as a foil to her, Thackeray gives us an archetypal good woman of the period - Amelia Sedley. 'Vanity Fair' is the story of the lives of these two women and the world they inhabit and it makes wonderful drama.

TESS OF THE D'URBERVILLES

2hrs 15mins

Tess is one of the most remarkable tragic heroines ever written, a genuinely beautiful woman who is generous, resourceful and courageous. >From innocently dancing in the fields, she survives rape by Alex D'Urberville, the death of her child, abandonment by her love, Angel Clare, her emotional union with him at Stonehenge and ends her life by hanging for the murder of Alex. She is never self pitying or vengeful. She stays with us and remains part of our emotional memory and this production moves us from beginning to end.

JANE EYRE
2hrs 10mins

Jane Eyre's journey through life from the red-room at Gateshead Hall to her eventual fulfillment with Rochester is one of the great novels of English Literature. Her experiences at the orphanage of Lowood, as a governess at Thornfield, of Rochesters deception and her rejection of St John Rivers' cold religion, all work toward the creation of a rich and complex human being. Charlotte Bronte's passionate account of her heroine's development translates into excellent musical theatre and gives the audience a wonderful evening out.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS
2hrs 10mins

This new musical production is probably the first of its kind to honour the passion, violence and complexity of one of the greatest stories ever written. With a powerful and driving new score, lyrics and script that take the characters into the depths of their experience, a Heathcliff and Catherine who look and sound as Emily Bronte described them and a superb supporting cast, Image Theatre Company have written and produced another surefire hit. 'Better than anything I have seen in the West End' was many peoples' reaction to last year's 'Jane Eyre', this year's 'Wuthering Heights' must surely be destined for one of London's great theatres.
